South Pasadena Celebrates its 20th Annual Moon Festival!
Sino US Performing Arts Organization will cosponsor an upcoming Moon Festival in South Pasadena Public Library on Sunday September 22nd with South Pasadena Chinese American Club, The City of South Pasadena and The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library. This event is on Sunday, September 22nd, from 11 am – 3 pm at the Library Community Room and Library Park, 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030.
The Moon Festival celebrates family reunion and harvest with the full moon, and connects local communities through arts and culture and has attracted hundreds of people of diverse cultures. Admission is free.
The Festival will feature lion dance, Fusion Duet music, Peking Opera performance, martial arts and cultural dance. Participants can also enjoy tea tasting, chalk drawing contest, cultural games, and art-making activities, including lantern-painting and musical instrument making. Outside entertainment and activities will start at 11 am in the Library Park and run for two hours. After 1 pm, indoor activities will begin in the Library Community Room, lasting until 3 pm.

SINOUS is pleased to partner with SPCC and bring authentic Chinese art and culture to the festival.
Founded in 2012, Sino US Performing Arts Organization (SINOUS) is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to Chinese art and culture. It has served a diverse audience and bridged intercultural understanding through art education, performances and cultural events, in partnership with academic, cultural and community organizations. SINOUS’signature programs include C Dream Program, SINOUSARTS@COMMUNITY and Sino Cultural Day.
About The South Pasadena Chinese American Club
Founded in 1989, the South Pasadena Chinese American Club sponsors educational programs, community service activities, and cultural events. SPCC awards scholarships, distribute grants to local schools and library programs, manages the Mandarin After School Language Program and coordinates events to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Moon Festival. Other activities include sponsoring the Library Author Nights, the School District Math Field Day and Library Summer Reading Program. SPCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer run organization.
