Adam & Rotem Gilbert will present a mini-concert of Early Music for the Annual Meeting of the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library at 7 p.m. on January 19 in the Community Room. Adam and Rotem play historical woodwind instruments, including recorders, bagpipes, and shawm (a Renaissance oboe). They have performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Israel. The early “classical” music they play often contains “toe-tapping” folk and popular elements. (And yes, you will be allowed to tap your toes.)

The free public event will open with a succinct meeting of the Friends of the Library who will approve their new slate of Officers for 2017 after a brief vote. The Friends will also honor some longtime members who have retired from some very important positions. The program is presented by the South Pasadena Public Library and the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library.

The Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street.  No tickets or reservations are necessary. Refreshments will be served.
