The South Pasadena Public Library is updating its Strategic Plan to guide library services for the next 3 years. The Library will be looking at Library collections, programs, projects, technology, and the facility, to name but a few key areas. Joe Matthews, a highly respected Library Consultant, who recently developed the Library Operations Study, is working with the community to obtain input and feedback about Library needs. For the Strategic Planning process, it is vitally important that he receive broad-based community participation in the process. The entire community—individuals and organizations—are invited to assist in in the preparation and sharpening the vision for the South Pasadena Public Library.
At the meeting participants will be asked for their insights into the community and their thoughts on specific Library needs. The Library is also asking the public to take its brief on-line survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6J9MWLX. Broad-based participation and help will be invaluable. Later the Library will be reviewing the results of the survey and input from the Community Forum. Before the end of the year, the Library will be presenting the findings of the survey and Community Forum. A draft of the new Strategic Plan will be presented when authorization is requested from the Library Board of Trustees and the City Council.
