A Court Appointed Special Advocate (or CASA) is a trained community volunteer, who has the opportunity to broadly influence the life of a foster child by advocating across many important life issues, including permanent placement, health care, education, and enrichment activities. Many more children can thrive with the intensive intervention of a CASA volunteer, and this is how you can help.
The first step toward becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is attending an information session. Join us for an hour to learn how you can make a much needed difference in the life of a foster child. No specific education background is necessary, as we offer a comprehensive training course for all potential advocates before they are paired with children.
We look forward to sharing more information about the work of CASAs at our upcoming information session held at Cross Campus 87 N. Raymond Ave. Pasadena CA 91107 on October 6th 12:00pm-1:15pm For more information, or to RSVP for this or a different information session, please visit:http://casala.org/volunteer/.
