A Library Film Night showcasing the extraordinary documentary “Honor and Duty: The Mississippi Delta Chinese” will be presented in the Community Room on Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. The very special event will also feature writer, director, and producer Samantha Cheng, who will introduce the film and conduct a Q & A afterwards. The free event for all ages is sponsored by the South Pasadena Public Library, the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast, and The Chinese American Museum of Los Angeles.
The Library Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street. No tickets or reservations are needed and refreshments will be served. Doors to the Community Room will be open at 6:30 p.m. and the rest of the Library will be open until 9:00 p.m. because the South Pasadena Public Library is now open on Thursday nights (and closed at 6 p.m. on Monday nights). Free parking is available after 6:00 p.m. and on weekends at the Mission-Meridian Parking Garage located at 805 Meridian Avenue, adjacent to the Metro Gold Line Station.
