A Living History Performance of “9/11/Flight 93” by actor, writer, and director Duffy Hudson will be showcased in the Community Room on Thursday, November 30 at 7 p.m. Duffy’s new one-man show honors the heroes and their brave actions aboard the airliner, United Flight 93 that was hijacked by terrorists and aimed for the Capitol Building in Washington DC on September 11, 2001, shortly after two planes crashed into the World Trade Center. Thankfully, Flight 93 never reached its target as the passengers mounted a heroic counterattack against the terrorists.  Duffy Hudson has previously performed popular Living History events at the Library in the personas Edgar Allan Poe, Albert Einstein, Audie Murphy, Harry Houdini, and George Burns. The free event is presented by the South Pasadena Public Library, the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, and the Living History Centre Fund.  Special thanks to 210eastsound.

South Pasadena-bred Alan Cook, an Author and Puppet Expert Extraordinaire will be briefly showcasing his amazing new book “Alan Cook: A Puppet Collector’s Odyssey” and performing a brief “Three Billy Goat’s Gruff” at the beginning of the event. Autographed copies of Alan’s book will be available for purchase.  The Library Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street.  Admission is free of charge and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for both shows.
